A video went viral last week, demonstrating just how hard some Trump supporters are taking the projected results of the 2020 election.
TikTokker @estesnate, Nate Estes, whose account is now set to private, originally posted the video of himself interacting with an American Automobile Association (AAA) service provider who refused to provide him service.
The craziest part? The driver refused service over a bumper sticker.
This AAA employee is refusing to tow a car with a Biden sticker on the vehicle. Let’s make him famous…✊🏻✊🏼✊🏽✊🏾✊🏿 pic.twitter.com/TBZu8gk44X

Estes wrote in the caption of the original video:
“Hi, don’t know this [man’s] name but he refused service to us for our Biden bumper sticker and tried to run us over shortly after this video.”
The video does not include the videographer’s initial interaction with the driver or the driver’s harsh reaction to the inclusion of the “Biden 2020” bumper sticker on the car.
What we do see is the driver removing his coat and getting back into his truck, proceeding to drive away, but not before the videographer and a friend noted the driver’s front license plate, the appearance of his vehicle, and the fact that he was a driver for River’s Edge Towing, which is a contracted partner with AAA.
Since the account is now set to private, the original video is not available to the public, but the video was also shared on Twitter by another user, boasting more than 17,000 retweets and 30,000 likes.
Viewers of the video had a lot of thoughts on the situation, including safety concerns and letting political affiliations get in the way.
Sorry to hear that, you certainly don't deserve it. MAGA has apparently reached the point where if you don't like some law or your job may require you to interact with someone you don't agree with that you can just not do it. And if forced to do it, its a violation of rights

And this is how ridiculous his supporters are! Just insane

Wonder how this guy would feel if a nurse or doctor refused to treat him because of his political beliefs?

Why is it Liberals and Democrats have to extend a hand for unity, when it keeps getting slapped back at us, like this?
I'm DONE with Republicans and Trumpers.

Offs.. what is wrong with these people? Rhetorical… but I just can't understand these people whatsoever. How can we get through anything together when some just refuse to? pic.twitter.com/mrW1b4fVMr

Some also spoke out directly to AAA and River’s Edge Towing, stating their concerns.
This is terrifying! I am an AAA member for 37 years and this is the scariest thing. So, if I don’t agree politically with your contractors, they will leave me on the side of the road? Stranded when I need help? What service are you providing? Terror?
— Eva Phoenix (@ta2goddess) November 9, 2020
I’ve been a member for decades as well, rarely need help.. and if I do, it’s probably a pretty big deal. I don’t want to get left by the side of the road because I say something like “this is my husband’s car” (I’m a dude) or am wearing the wrong message on a t-shirt.

Do you know how terrifying this is for me as I live in the gorge and THIS would be the company that shows up if I get stuck? I pay y’all to help me if I ever get stranded on 84, and as an lgbtq woman I’d be more scared of calling and getting help now. This is NOT OKAY.

@AAAOklahoma this is a deeply red state, am I in danger of this exact treatment? I have relied on you to protect my family and I, but this is unreal! Please make it known to your conractors that no matter whom I vote for, my money is still green!! How can you assure me???? Wow!

He has one job…to tow vehicles and he refused to do it. Thankfully the weather looked decent but tow truck drivers should not be able to pick and choose who they will tow when they are paid to do that job.

Since the video went viral, the interaction also came to the attention of AAA, who took immediate action, issuing a statement of apology and terminating the employee.
1/2 At AAA, we stand for community and for our members. AAA does not tolerate this type of behavior. The tow truck driver at River's Edge Automotive and Towing has been disciplined by River's Edge management. AAA is working with River’s Edge to ensure this type of behavior… https://t.co/vQFjVj7ih8

2/2 … AAA is working with River's Edge to ensure this type of behavior does not happen again. We deeply regret the experience and inconvenience to the member.
— AAA Oregon/Idaho (@AAAOregonIdaho) November 9, 2020
Update: The Rivers Edge Automotive and Towing driver will no longer be working with AAA. We deeply regret the experience and inconvenience to the member. We are committed to providing a safe and welcoming experience for our Members

Though it’s absolutely acceptable for each of us to choose the candidate we wish to support, choosing to also punish others for having a different viewpoint is less than acceptable.
