An American man was arrested outside of a restaurant in Chiang Mai, Thailand after he went on a racist, homophobic, profanity-riddled tirade.
Daniel Franckowiak, of Bismarck, North Dakota, was arrested on November 5 and charged with criminal damage related to his repellent display of hate.
A worker at the restaurant, Salita Akaruean, recorded some of his vitriol and uploaded it to Facebook with an explanation of what happened.

The hatred spewing forth from Franckowiak during his rant was directed at a plethora of different people and groups.
He insulted or threatened the Thai people as a whole, Thailand’s king, gay people, multiple bystanders who were around to witness his behavior, and Akaruean herself, among many others.
Akaruean described her confusion at the absurdity of Franckowiak’s display.
“I was baffled and tried to get him to leave but he just wouldn’t. His insults were all over, not specific, like Thai police, the king and so on. I was too confused to remember them all.”
Not content with verbal violence, Franckowiak eventually got physical.
“During the insult, he was trying to spit at me! Luckily it didn’t hit. Then he processed to break my restaurant’s window.”
It was at this point that Akaruean called the authorities.
“Now that he had broken something, I went and called for security for help then the police.”
Franckowiak has since been released from police custody pending a court appearance in Chiang Mai next month.
Evidently his brief time in jail, and the looming threat of more legal consequences, were not enough for Franckowiak, though. In a Facebook post made shortly after his release, he bragged about his atrocious behavior.
“This is where I destroyed several businesses and got out of jail for third time in my 9 weeks in corrupt Thailand.”
He has also reportedly returned to Akaruean’s shop to further insult her, her country and Thai police.
Folks on social media were quick to condemn Franckowiak’s actions and words, and were supportive of Akaruean and those subjected to his ignorance.

He’s an embarrassment who should have his passport permanently revoked. Go back to North Dakota.

Wonderful. The whole ‘I am white and I say so’ doesn’t quite work in other countries. I hope they throw this thug in prison

Why does racist white people get to travel? I mean, they should just stay put in their lovely 1st world country. Why leave their precious country where all white people like him resides. They should just be happy and be content not leaving their nest.

Many who witnessed his initial screed suspected he may be struggling with mental illness or substance use.
Facebook posts by Franckowiak claimed he is involved with experimentation by the American government. This and his referencing common conspiracy theories seem to support this idea.
