A Beverly Hills salon owner was arrested in connection to her participation at the pro-Donald Trump U.S. Capitol riot that left five people dead.
Gina Bisignano, 52, was taken into custody by FBI agents early Tuesday morning at her apartment on the 300 block of North Palm Drive, according to FBI spokeswoman Laura Eimiller.

Bisignano was previously dubbed a “Karen” by TMZ for her vitriolic rant caught in a video that went viral. You can read about that here.
In December, the owner of Gina’s Eyelashes And Skincare spewed homophobic slurs at a person filming her during an anti-lockdown protest at the L.A. County Department of Public Health Director Barbara Ferrer.
The media outlet said Bisignano stood out from the rest of the 50 demonstrators—who were protesting the economic impact of closed businesses as a result of California’s pandemic restrictions. Her hate speech included wild accusations about Nazis, brainwashing and abortion.
Bisignano admitted to the Beverly Hills Courier that she traveled to Washington D.C. and joined the mob that breached the Capitol on January 6.
A video obtained by the Beverly Hills Courier showed a woman believed to be Bisignano standing on a ledge outside the Capitol building and inciting the mob.
The woman held a megaphone and told insurrectionists:
“Everybody, we need gas masks, we need weapons.”
“We need strong, angry patriots to help our boys, they don’t want to leave.”
“We need protection.”

In another clip, Bisignano volunteered her full identity while standing among rioters at the Capitol breach.

CBS Local said she was charged with civil disorder, destruction of government property and aiding and abetting.
Bisignano was released to home detention on a $170,000 bond. A February 4 date was set for her preliminary hearing to take place in Los Angeles.
