On Friday, December 10, Twitter collectively cringed at a young couple’s pregnancy announcement.
The image, which offered up the “Recipe for Baby” featured these ingredients:
“1 CUP MOMMY”
“3 PUMPS DADDY”
“MIX WITH LOVE”
“BAKE UNTIL JULY”
People found that second ingredient kind of insulting to the father-to-be.
imagine using your baby announcement to tell the world your husband is bad at sex pic.twitter.com/r4mJDYnYEP

Obviously, many Twitter users had a hard time getting past the phrase “three pumps daddy.”
ARE THEY MAKING A CAKE, A LATTE, OR A BABY, I CAN'T TELL

Ok can we just all agree a baby announcement doesn’t need to involve any reference, no matter how cutesy, to jizz.
We all know how it got there.

I wonder if it's supposed to be 3 pumps of semen not necessarily 3 thrusts *shrug*

Many online wondered why any couple would put themselves through this embarrassment.
Even disregarding that, this is a disturbing way to announce it

It depends upon how you define "pump" in this context. If you think about the language of a food recipe, it makes really good sense (and if anything, is flattering of Daddy's output.) pic.twitter.com/aqP9JgMwwi

Others drew a connection between strange, pregnancy-related behaviors and straight couples being overly proud of conceiving a child.
Straight culture confuses the ever-living crap out of me.
