WUSA9 reported that Samir Ahmed, a 23-year-old  good Samaritan, was arrested after finding his neighbor drunk and sleeping on a lawn.

Ahmed helped the intoxicated person into the house but when he came back outside he found himself surrounded by the police that mistakenly thought he was the intoxicated one.

The officers put Ahmed up against a car claiming they smelled marijuana. While Ahmed was being held, neighbors came out and began filming the incident.

During the 18-minute video, the crowd and police go back and forth with bystanders challenging the police.

Eventually, Ahmed was taken in and charged with resisting arrest and disorderly conduct. He was also fined for a small amount of cannabis.

People on Facebook were angry at what they saw.

They weren’t any happier over on Twitter.

Things need to change.
