You may remember New York lawyer Aaron Schlossberg from May 2018.
If not, you can refresh your memory about his history of extreme confrontations over trivial matters or his disproven claims of his affiliation with the New York Bar Association. Or the mariachi band hired to play outside his law office.
But you probably first heard of Schlossberg when he was captured on video going on a racist tirade against Spanish-speaking workers at a midtown Manhattan restaurant.
You can see him in action here.
Apparently unfamiliar with basic human decency, Schlossberg attacked the workers for speaking Spanish to one another and their customers (who also spoke Spanish):
“Every person I listen to — he spoke [Spanish], he spoke it, she’s speaking it — it’s America!”
Turns out Aaron Schlossberg—who speaks Spanish fluently & has a Law partner who is an immigrant—enjoys being racist towards immigrants & Latinos but doesn’t enjoy being asked about being a racist. ¯_(?)_/¯ pic.twitter.com/hSNXgK1CW0

Schlossberg couldn’t believe he was hearing a language other than English—it made him absolutely irate!
“If they have the balls to come here and live off of my money — I pay for their welfare, I pay for their ability to be here — the least they can do is speak English. If you intend on running a place in Midtown Manhattan, the staff should be speaking English, not Spanish!”
He keeps disguising himself in different outfits & keeps running. Can’t run from your racist past bud.
The racist lawyer who threatened to call ICE on Latino workers sprinted away from an NBC News reporter earlier todaypic.twitter.com/ikfXstqzoR

In his mind, this crime was grave enough to warrant a call to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) so everyone at the restaurant could get thrown out of “his” country:
“My guess is they’re not documented, so my next call is to ICE to have each one of them kicked out of my country.”
The internet quickly gave Schlossberg the apt (if not especially creative) nickname ‘Racist Lawyer’ and made sure he was shamed on every corner of the world wide web.
The video quickly went viral, resulting in the lawyer’s eviction from an office on Madison Avenue and ethics complaints from two local politicians.
I hope this message reaches racists & bigots:
•Quit your bigotry and learn to respect humanity.
•If you have to wait until it hits your pocketbook then it’s not humanity you value, its money.
•Also please let this guy know @ShaunKing has a few questions for him.#ThisIsAmerica pic.twitter.com/0PIILtLt2w

After the above video went viral, it was revealed Schlossberg had a history of racist incidents, with one vlogger revealing footage of him from 2016.
To put a perfect cherry on this tale of comeuppance, Niche Music Group, who hired Schlossberg in January 2018 to represent them in a “breach of contract claim against Sony Entertainment” before firing him in May because of his racism, is now filing a lawsuit against their former lawyer for $50,000.

According to the New York Post, Niche claims that Schlossberg “owed a duty…to conduct himself in public in such a way as to not discredit himself or his clients.”
Looks like he fell a bit short of that.
Twitter is glad to see what goes around comes around in the real world.
My opinion of @nichemusicgroup has been negatively impacted because of #RacistLawyer. His racism drew attention to their business, and I would be much less likely to be involved with them because of it.
(Is this the kind of thing you need as evidence to get that 50k?)

Why is racist in quotations? If he was yelling at them for something directly connected to their ethnicity, he IS racist and has more than proven the fact.

As Schlossberg’s legal woes continue to pile up, hopefully, he’s looking back fondly on the good times…like when social justice group Millennials for Revolution crowdfunded the money to send a mariachi band and taco truck to his apartment building.
Karma keeps piling on.

Good times, Aaron…good times.
