Beyoncé is held by many of her fans to be an almost perfect human.
Though this is quite the reputation, it’s definitely been earned by years of winning every game life throws at her.
But even Beyoncé isn’t immune to the online trolling which has become ubiquitous in our modern age.
Following the birth of her twins, some online haters have commented on how her weight seems to change.
These comments have sadly become common enough that they were brought up in a new interview from Elle.
Beyoncé was asked:
“Everybody’s weight fluctuates. How does it make you feel when people are constantly commenting on your appearance?”
Fortunately, as is the case with most things, Beyoncé had a perfect answer.
“If someone told me 15 years ago that my body would go through so many changes and fluctuations, and that I would feel more womanly and secure with my curves, I would not have believed them. But children and maturity have taught me to value myself beyond my physical appearance and really understand that I am more than enough no matter what stage I’m at in life.”
Just in case her core message was lost, she then summed it up in no uncertain terms.
“Giving zero f**ks is the most liberating place to be.”
Beyoncé’s wisdom is truly profound.
“Also knowing true beauty is something you cannot see. I wish more people focused on discovering the beauty within themselves rather than critiquing other folks’ grills.”
Beyonce is on the cover of Elle and actually gave an interview (her first in forever) in which she says, "Get off my ovaries". And my personal favourite: "Giving zero fucks is the most liberating place to be.” 👑 pic.twitter.com/aDLimU4N3i— Caitlin McBride (@mcbride_caitlin) December 9, 2019
