Wisconsin Man Eats His 30,000th Big Mac, And It’s Both Impressive And Disturbing

Everyone has a “thing.” One person’s thing might be wearing polka-dots, or loving Billy Joel. I once had an English teacher who painted everything in her classroom purple. Don Gorske “thing” is eating Big Macs…and he’s very good at it. Since 1972, the Wisconsin man has eaten 30,000. His landmark 30,000th sandwich was greeted with pomp and circumstance by his community: Gorske also appeared in the 2004 documentary Supersize Me, which explored what might happen to a person who ate McDonald’s food every day for every meal. Twitter was both fascinated and repulsed by Gorske’s feat: And his obsession with McDonald’s signature dish goes beyond simply eating it: Since he projects Big Mac 40,000 probably wouldn’t occur until 2032, Gorske believes this will be his last major burger milestone. Congratulations, Don! To celebrate the occasion, why don’t you treat yourself to literally anything besides a Big Mac. H/T – Twitter, New York Post, Nick Bohr/Twitter
