Kristen Bell has long been one of our favorite humans, and last Wednesday she celebrated her birthday.

Of course, her family turned it out and she posted this awesome photo on Instagram…

But the best gift of all was one Bell gave to someone else.

I dont need anything for my birthday. But there are alot of things I want.?

In the video, Bell said she donated the remaining $4,457 needed to help release Delmi, an immigrant mother being held in an ICE detention facility.

She said:

“What I really wanted for my birthday this year was a peaceful feeling. You can swipe left to see what I bought myself. If you would also like a peaceful feeling, feel free to click the link in my bio and we can help family number nine.”

The group she donated to is Immigrant Families Together, which is devoted to reuniting children and parents separated by President Trump’s zero-tolerance border policy.

One of the founders of the group, Julie Schwietert Collazo, posted on Facebook.

The post reads:

“So… it’s actor Kristen Bell’s birthday today, and while I’m pop culture deficient (we don’t own a TV), I know who she is. She decided to give a generous gift for her birthday, and she closed the gap for Delmi’s bond. That means we can bond Delmi out!

It’s been an emotional day — Francisco and I have fielded calls from women at Eloy and in Guatemala who have learned of Immigrant Families Together and are begging for our help. Their stories are horrible, and they are desperate for someone to understand them. We have several other bond funds going up today on GoFundMe.

What YOU are doing matters. Every donation- NO MATTER WHAT AMOUNT – every offer of in-kind assistance, every share on social media… it’s all important. We are beginning to repair the immense harm that our country has perpetrated against these women and their families. Please keep going. Stay strong. These women and their children need you. No matter what your financial situation is, you can make a difference.”

People thanked Bell for her help.
