For those who don't know, former Smallville actress Allison Mack was recently charged with sex trafficking and forced labor conspiracy, among other things. She was a recruiter for NXIVM, an alleged sex cult led by Keith Raniere. Her arrest comes on the heels of Raniere's arrest in Mexico this past March.
The cult claimed to be all about women's empowerment, however, women were allegedly branded, forced to have sex with Raniere, starved, and forced into labor. Mack is alleged to have been one of the group's main recruiters.
The U.S. Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of New York released a statement which read in part…
"As alleged in the indictment, Allison Mack recruited women to join what was purported to be a female mentorship group that was, in fact, created and led by Keith Raniere. The victims were then exploited, both sexually and for their labor, to the defendants' benefit."The Hollywood Reporter
Well, it seems that Mack tried to recruit some celebrities to her allegedly nefarious cause back in February of 2016…
