Kansas City Chiefs Fans Slammed After Booing During ‘Moment Of Unity’ For Social Justice

Daily Sports Highlights/YouTube

What was meant to be a moment of unity in a Kansas City Chiefs at Houston Texans game, division rang loud and clear through the spectators, even as players joined arms in solidarity.

During a dedicated moment of silence in “the ongoing fight for equality” sanctioned by the NFL, fans could be heard booing and breaking the moment of silence.

The messages they were booing were clear, as they were literally written on the scoreboard during the moment of silence:

The NFL has been more vocal about its support of Black Lives Matter following the deaths of George Floyd and Breonna Taylor, and each team in the league has been handling its methods of dealing with the US National Anthem differently.

The NFL’s association with Black Lives Matter comes four years after Colin Kaepernick first took a knee on the sidelines during the National Anthem in support of the BLM movement, a move which was maligned by football fans.  President Trump has many times been openly outraged by the gesture, saying he would have liked to see the NFL fire Kaepernick or any black athletes for taking a knee during the anthem.

The boos showcase clearly that not all are on the side of unity and equality in this country.

Let’s hope they come to their senses soon.
