There’s a troublesome uniformity in clothing options this summer, and it’s the misapprehension that all women don’t like clothed shoulders. Search any clothing store or online retailer and you’ll see it – the first and last things you’re going to see are crop tops, and a bunch of the stuff in the middle will be the same.

There’s a time and a place for a crop top, but it’d be nice to have some dang options.
So tired of going clothes shopping and everything is a freaking crop top.

okay but why is everything on the market a crop top of some sort

They sell everything in crop tops now! Can we get more cute shirts that aren't crop tops and bralettes!

And it became a rallying cry:
The woman in H&M shouting “But why is everything cropped?!?” Is my soul sister.

Nina might’ve actually overheard Danielle:
WHY IS EVERYTHING CROPPED ????

But why does EVERYTHING have to be cropped

But seriously, there’s no call for this. Let’s widen that net.
Or have really weird cutouts that don't even line up

The perceptive folk out there had some critique on the issue:
It's because they're cheaper to make/ less fabric. Women's clothes are notoriously shafted, such as having practically NO 100% denim jeans (polyester and spandex = ew.)
