North Carolina Woman Calls Black Soldier N-Word In Racist Rant In Front Of Her Apartment—And Promptly Gets Evicted

Diamonte Ugbesia / YouTube

Fort Bragg soldier Diamonte Ugbesia had just returned from deployment in Afghanistan and decided to visit a friend at the Kings Cross Apartments in Fayetteville, NC. When he pulled into the complex he heard someone screaming.

Ugbesia followed the voice, turning on his phone to record. When he eventually found the woman, she was standing in a white bathrobe with a man dressed in a red shirt.

The pair were on the landing of the stairs. Diamonte’s video begins as he is coming up some exterior stairs.

The woman was not in need of help, however. She was just screaming about how much she hated Black people.

The man was trying to get her to calm down and go back inside the apartment.

The woman’s rant is quickly aimed at Diamonte once she spots him. She walks directly at him, wagging her finger in his direction.

The video shows the woman ordering Diamonte to “get the f*ck back down” the stairs and telling him she wants nothing to do with him and he had better not report or record her. The woman’s words are always clear in the video.

When Ugbesia calmly says “no” the woman turns her attention back to the other man, and tells him he had better kill Ugbesia.

She refers to him as “that motherf*cking ni**er” when she casually calls for his murder.

The man gently shushes her with a “babe stop calling him that” before suggesting they go back inside. As the man is talking, she turns to Ugbesia and, unpropmpted, tells him:

“I will never f*ck a black person ever in my life. Get the f*ck down.”

Ugbesia does not respond, and the woman puts her hands up, seeming flabbergasted  she is being recorded. The man tells her it’s because she is being ridiculous.

She counters that no, it’s because Ugbesia is stupid.

She then grabs the man by the arm and pulls him inside of the apartment, turning back one last time to tell Diamonte:

“No. I only deal with White boys.”

The man sighs and follows her inside.

In total, the encounter lasted under a minute, but that was long enough as far as condo management is concerned. Once they saw the video they immediately began the legal process of eviction.

Their statement left no room for doubt about their position.

“We have a zero-tolerance policy for inappropriate behavior or failure to live in a cooperative manner. Particularly, this incident not only violates our lease agreement but the ethical standards of our community and company and will not be tolerated.”

“We have taken immediate legal action to terminate the tenancy of the resident in violation.”

Ugbesia was not hurt in the incident, the conflict was strictly verbal and one-sided. However, he is still understandably upset.

The United States culturally holds military service in high regard. But Ugbesia has not gotten the hero’s welcome or appreciation many would expect.

Instead, he came home to racism.

“I never heard somebody flat out call me the n-word or say they hate me. I got deployed to Afghanistan.”

“Me coming home from Afghanistan serving my country to a person saying they hate me based off my skin color? That’s what I was mad about.”

We don’t want to say Twitter celebrated the eviction, but…

…the Twitterverse wasn’t exactly sad about it.

As yet, no official apology or claim this isn’t really who she is has been issued by the woman.

Erica is the consummate cool-kid. She’s so cool that she’s been talked about in magazines, on blogs and on the radio after losing her left eye because of a piece of glitter. She is still actively mourning the passing of Prince and hopes to one day do an all-iguana remake of Graffiti Bridge since iguanas are plentiful near her home in South Florida. She has yet to find one that can really nail the “ahhhyayayeaheaheah” that Tevin Campbell does in Round and Round, and everyone knows the music is the important part of any Prince film. She’s a mother, singer, writer and (if the internet is to be believed - which we all know it is) a Nigerian socialite mid-ranking member of the Illuminati. She prides herself on being the most popular one-eyed rock star under 5 ft tall in pretty much any room she walks into.
