Fox News Pundit Claims The ‘B’ In LGBTQ Stands For ‘Bestiality’ In Mind-Boggling Interview

With all the disgusting racism going on, it can sometimes be hard to remember that the GOP is ALSO riddled with anti-LGBTQ bigots. Thankfully, there are always some evangelical Christians on hand to let us know exactly how batsh*t they are.

This is Star Parker, a right-wing evangelical Christian, Trump supporter, and former GOP candidate for state office in California. You may have caught some of her segments on Fox & Friends, where she once argued that the gay pride flag and the Confederate flag are “the exact same thing”:

YouTube

“What’s really interesting with an incredible irony here is that the same people that are demanding that the Confederate flag comes down are the same people that are insisting that the rainbow flag goes up,” she said in the wake of the alt-right rally in Charlottesville where left-wing activist Heather Heyer was murdered by a neo-Nazi.

Recently, Parker was interviewed on “Vocal Point,” an evangelical talk radio show, and she had some pretty wacky ideas about what ‘LGBTQ’ really stands for:

“They keep pushing out this idea, LGBTQ. We did the ‘L’ and the ‘G,’ they legalized marriage for themselves. We’re doing the ‘T’ now, the trans, and this is a big, big challenge in our society right now. They did the ‘Q’ where they’re changing all the textbooks, even as low as kindergarten, to reflect that you don’t know what you are, you’re questioning. But notice they skipped over the ‘B,’ and there are some that say this ‘B’ is going to bombard us with real vileness in our society if they get what they want because it’s not about bisexuality, it’s about bestiality.”

Jerry Newcombe, the host of the show, offered some gentle pushback, saying, “You’re not saying though that officially the ‘B’ in LGBTQ stands for bestiality, it still stands for bisexuality but you’re saying that some are using it in that way.”

Unfortunately, this is not exactly what Parker was saying.

“We don’t know, because remember they said the ‘Q’ meant queer. And we found out that no, that it didn’t,” she said. “It didn’t really mean ‘Q’ ‘Queer’ it meant ‘Q’ ‘Questioning,’ she said.

Parker went on to say,

“We do know that there is an agenda and we do know that there have been discussions about bestiality in their closed doors. I’m just saying, don’t be surprised if we find out that that ‘B’ is not what they said publicly… that we just love each other, that it may, in law, show up as something else.”

Sigh. It’s true, in the year of our Lord 2018, right-wing Christians are STILL trying to claim LGBTQ people who just want to enjoy the same rights as everyone else are ACTUALLY promoting a sinister cultural engineering agenda to drive America toward… bestiality. It was just as laughable in the ‘90s as it is today, and yet, here we are.

Also, if we’re gonna talk about bestiality and gay rights in the same sentence, let’s talk about the time Republicans in Louisiana pushed back against an anti-bestiality bill because they were afraid it might undo their (unconstitutional) ban on sodomy. (Yes, really.)
