A pregnant woman in New Boston, Bowie County, Texas was found dead inside her home with her baby removed from her womb.

The New York Post reported that a PayPal fundraiser identified the victim as Reagan Hancock, 22, who was eight months pregnant.

The fundraiser—which raised $18,145 in four days—read:

“Reagan Hancock and her unborn baby were selfishly killed by someone Reagan considered a friend.”

A similar incident in 2017 saw Indigenous woman Savanna LaFontaine-Greywind abducted then murdered by her neighbors. It lead to the passage of Savanna’s Act—federal legislation bearing her name.

Savanna’s daughter, Haisley Jo, survived and is being raised by her father and LaFontaine-Greywind’s family.

Hancock’s mother, Jess Brook, found her lifeless daughter inside her home on Friday around 10:20 a.m.

Authorities released the name of the female suspect as Taylor Parker, of Simms, Texas.

She was allegedly a friend of the victim. After removing the baby, Parker took the child and fled across state lines 50 miles away to Idabel, Oklahoma.

Authorities said the 27-year-old suspect arrived in an ambulance at a hospital and claimed her child was not breathing.

The baby died at the hospital and Parker was later taken into custody.

The victim’s mother wrote on a Facebook post:

“Our beautiful daughter Reagan Hancock and her precious unborn baby girl Braxlynn were murdered yesterday by Satan in the flesh.”

“Our Reagan was one of the most precious people you would ever meet. Please I beg keep us in your prayers.”

Hancock and her husband Homer already have a three-year-old daughter and were expecting their second baby girl, “Braxlynn Sage.”

The baby was expected on November 10.

Hancock made the announcement on Facebook, which read:

“We are having another SWEET BABYGIRL come november the 10th (give or take). She already acts like her daddy & big sister.”

“We cannot wait for our Braxlynn Sage to be here. Daddy is definitely out numbered.”

Parker was charged with the kidnapping and murder of the child.

More charges are expected to be brought against her.

The Daily Mail said police have yet to reveal a motive.
