Honey, I Shrunk The Kids! star Rick Moranis was brought to the hospital after suffering an unprovoked sucker punch to his head in New York City on Friday morning, October 2.

The incident was caught on camera near the intersection of 70th street and Central Park West near Moranis’ New York City home, having been perpetrated by a man wearing an “I Heart NY” sweatshirt, who casually walked away after assaulting the actor.

Moranis reportedly suffered pain in his back, head and right-side hip, which prompted him to check into a hospital for evaluation as well as report the attack to the NYPD.

Moranis is “fine” and “grateful for everyone’s thoughts and well wishes,” according to Troy Bailey of Bailey Brand Management, who represent Moranis.

The suspect who assaulted Moranis is still at large.

Police are offering a $2,500 reward for any information that leads to his arrest.

Moranis has taken a long hiatus from acting to focus on raising his children. His wife died from cancer in 1991.

He has no projects upcoming, but is treasured in our hearts from his work on SCTV and in films such as Little Shop Of Horrors, where he played Seymour Krelborn, and Ghostbusters, where he played whacky tax attorney Louis Tully, who coincidentally also resides on Central Park West.
