Ruby Rose Shuts Down Trolls Who Think That Her Sexuality Keeps Her From ‘Appreciating’ Men

Ruby Rose can’t seem to win.

Months ago, she announced she was set to play Kate Kane, a.k.a. Batwoman on The CW. She will make an on-screen debut in a crossover episode featuring SupergirlArrow, and The Flash in December.

Exciting, right?

Wait, because it doesn’t end there!

Batwoman identifies as a lesbian, and has earned a television series of her own, which is rumored to debut in 2019. Batwoman will be the first series to focus on an LGBT superhero.

The description of the show reads:

“Armed with a passion for social justice and a flair for speaking her mind, Kate Kane soars onto the streets of Gotham as Batwoman, an out lesbian and highly trained street fighter primed to snuff out the failing city’s criminal resurgence.”

But as per usual, some people online tried to ruin something good and started harassing Rose.

Rose identifies as a gender-fluid lesbian, but because of the gender-fluid portion, some were saying  she cannot play Batwoman.

The Orange is the New Black actress tweeted the following in light of the controversy:

“Where on earth did ‘Ruby is not a lesbian therefore she can’t be Batwoman’ come from — has to be the funniest most ridiculous thing I’ve ever read. I came out at 12? And have for the past 5 years had to deal with ‘she’s too gay’ how do y’all flip it like that? I didn’t change.”

Not enough of a lesbian. But people were saying she’s too much of a lesbian.

What is it this time? Well…

This is Formula One World Champion, Lewis Hamilton.

He is considered to be one of the best racing drivers of all time. Beyond that, he is a vegan, and is dating rap mogul and icon, Nicki Minaj.

Hamilton shared a shirtless snap on social media a few days ago.

He captioned the photo thanking his fans:

Some of the comments praised him for his appearance, in particular his built bod.

He does look good – anyone could tell you that.

One account even called him a role model.

Is this for the gains, or constant championship wins? Probably both.

Of course, as one would expect, a ton of women commented on the photo.

Many of the commenters are fans of Minaj.

One of the thousands of comments came from Rose.

Rose also happens to be a vegan and has been following a strict plant-based diet since 2017. She was named PETA’s Sexiest Vegan in 2017.

She commented on the photo, admiring Hamilton…

…and people were dying in response.

But, not everyone was laughing (or agreeing).

A troll responded to the comment, saying:

Rose was perplexed at how she, as a lesbian, could not appreciate a man and how he looks in a photo on Instagram.

She responded.

Someone else commented saying “plis Dont  gay” which…?

Rose, once again, articulated a savage response.

Hamilton was all love and laughs, sending some emojis as a response to the whole ordeal.

Glad that Rose and Hamilton could provide a quick lesson in giving compliments. We can appreciate someone else and their appearance without being attracted to them.
