As good and as well-lauded as John Legend is, at this point, it's a pretty much universally accepted truth that Chrissy Teigen is the best thing about him.
She's beautiful but accessible, famous but not big-headed, she checks John on the reg (ensuring that his head doesn't get too big—thanks Chrissy!), she's funny AND kind—and she always seems to keep it real.
In fact, it's her down-to-earth sensibility and her wacky sense of humor that make you forget she's a supermodel and make her a relatable SoMe darling. Which is why, when it came time for the Met Gala and Teigen was too super pregs to go (the baby is due in June), it was no surprise that she showed up on Instagram to give us all the #MetGala realness we didn't know we needed.
Teigen shared this shot of her
The irony of this truly glamorous moment in her life was not lost on Teigen who captioned the photo:
Waiting for my turn on the carpet at #metgala!!!! Always and honor!!!
Teigen then gave us all her step-by-step glam tutorial—and it is everything.
This year’s #metgalaGLAM was #SUPER important to me as I wanted it to really embody the heavenly bodies theme!!! I think we nailed it!! Swipe for for #creds!!! First I shampooed my #hair yesterday with #shampoo then I let it sit for 4 minutes while i #shaved the areas I could see on my #body.
Next, I used a #towel to dry my hair from roots to ends!! Then, I used a #rubberband to secure my hair into a pony that
iwas careful not to pull out all the way!
Lastly, I pulled out pieces around my #ears and
#neck !Full tutorial coming up tomorrow !!!!!!!! Like and subscribe!!!!!
Finally, Teigen copped to an extreme case of FOMO while flashing us some minimal glam realness.
I was gonna do a makeup breakdown but I’m honestly just very jealous I’m not there. Also, I need to drink water.
And fans were all about it:
Some even shared their Teigen tutorial success stories and their own #MetGala looks:
Still some people #fail at tutorials no matter what…
