As the President, Donald Trump has an advisor for everything, including his spiritual wellbeing. It’s a dirty job but someone’s gotta do it. Lucky for Trump there’s someone willing to roll up their sleeves and get in there.
Her name is Paula White and she’s the wife of—wait for it—Jonathan Cain, Journey’s longtime keyboardist and co-writer of the ubiquitous hit song “DonÂ’t Stop Believin’.”
Now Cain is speaking up about his wife’s role in the President’s spiritual life, and he’s saying a mouthful. He told the Tennessean:
Paula’s in there doing the best she can do and taking care of his soul. Not his politics, not his rhetoric — his soul. If he leans on her for that, that’s a good thing, that is a really good thing. She brings prayer into the White House, I think it’s remarkable. I applaud her tenacity and it hasn’t been easy watching her get yanked around by the swamp, and yet she prevails. She’ll overcome. I stay in my lane on that one.
