We all want to do favors for our friends every now and then, as it seems the right thing to do.
It's not unreasonable, however, to expect at least some appreciation or gratitude when doing a friend or family member a favor.
Sadly, not everyone is so thoughtful, and might not even think to show any appreciation.
This makes people's inclination to offer favors wane considerably over time.
Redditor Electronic_BeeHive found themselves frequently offering a service to a friend who lived close by.
Unfortunately, the original poster (OP)'s friend didn't show even the slightest amount of gratitude towards the OP.
Leading the OP to finally put an end to their help.
Something their friend and neighbor did not appreciate in the slightest.
Wondering if they overreacted, the OP took to the subReddit "Am I The A**Hole Here" (AITAH).
Unlike the similar "Am I The A**Hole" (AITA) subReddit, AITAH allows Redditors to ask for advice on issues that are not permitted on AITA, such as asking for advice or posting about ending relationships. Nor are voting acronyms required or a final judgment declared.
