Guy Stunned After Neighbor's Daughters Berate Him For Mowing Lawn During Their Pool Party

Not everyone is best friends, or even on a first-name basis, with their next-door neighbors.

Even so, most people still tend to be neighborly and mindful of what their neighbors might see and hear.

As a result, most people tend to plan events in their home that might cause more noise or activity than usual at times they believe their neighbor won't be bothered.

Even if they can't always predict when this might be.

The neighbors of Redditor These-Succotash-7523 recently hosted a party.

Unfortunately, the day ended with some complaints regarding excess noise.

Surprisingly, though, it was not the original poster (OP) who complained about too much noise coming from the party, but instead his neighbors, who felt he was making too much noise while they were having the party.

Wondering if this was the case, the OP took to the subReddit "Am I The A**hole" (AITA), where he asked fellow Redditors:

"AITA for mowing my lawn while the neighbors had a pool party?"

The OP explained why their neighbors felt he disrupted their party:

"This past Saturday, I (35 M[ale]) mowed my lawn like any other Saturday."

"Unless weather has been a factor, I've mowed my lawn every Saturday during the mowing season for the past 20 years."

"My next door neighbor, whom we'll refer to as 'Daniel" for this (60s M) had some of his family over to swim in their above ground pool."

"I would like to preface this by saying Daniel and I have *NEVER* had an issue, nor is he the one who is mad at me."

"Like always, I just mowed my lawn."

"Our properties are separated by a tree line, so I thought nothing of it."

That being said, Daniel's daughters should consider themselves lucky that the OP didn't feel compelled to complain about any noise they were making.

Which, by Daniel's daughters' logic, he had every right to do.
